A Love Letter to Conservatives

-By Caleb Jones

The two of us have a mutual friend, West. West is a hell of a guy. He started out in life poor, almost homeless, and over the course of about 20 years became a successful, self-made businessman. He also hit the gym religiously and now looks like a jacked up Wolverine with 5% body fat and huge muscles. He’s pretty good with the ladies too.

Both you and I look at West as a great example for other men to follow. We both love him as a brother.

Over time though, something starts to happen to West. He starts to say things that make no sense. He starts to get upset at things that shouldn’t upset him. We both like the guy, but over time we both start to get a little suspicious of him.

Then one day, something very odd happens. You’re sitting out on a beautiful beach somewhere in the Bahamas. You see West, swimming out in the ocean. “Swimming” may not be the word, since West doesn’t know how to swim. Immediately you bolt upright, very concerned. Looking closer, you see that West is wearing a life jacket, though a very filmy, ratty one that’s ripped to pieces and doesn’t help much. You also see that, for some bizarre reason you can’t fathom, West had some of his buddies tie a massive sea anchor onto this body with a steel chain, and the anchor is slowly pulling him down into the waves.

He’s drowning! He’s not screaming for help or anything like that, but he’s clearly drowning. He’s failing around, making huge splashes to stay afloat, getting water in his mouth and nose, and coughing red-faced.

He’s not going to be able to take much more of this! You have to save him!

You run down the beach towards the water and leap into the waves. You swim out to where West is thrashing about. He’s slowly sinking lower and lower, the anchor plus his inability to swim slowly killing him.

As you near the thrashing water, you see it’s clearly him. You can even see his last name, Civ, written on his near-destroyed life jacket. In the water, you see the huge sea anchor with its shiny steel chain slowly dragging him down into the depths. You can barely make out some words written on it, like “socialism” and “feminism” and “political correctness.”

“West!” you cry, “It’s okay, buddy! I’m here to save you! Put your arm around my shoulder!”

As you reach out to West, he screams at you angrily, “Don’t touch me you right winger!” and punches you in the face. You snap backward, hands covering your now bloody nose. The pain stings, but you’re strong and recover quickly.

“What the hell, West?” you scream, “I’m trying to save you! You’re drowning!” Again, you reach out to pull him up, to get him to shore, to save him.

“Fuck off!” he yells, “You’re a misogynist!” and punches you again, this time in your eye.

You groan in pain as your eye swells, but you still grab a hold of West, still trying to save him.

“Let go of me you rapist!” West screams hysterically, “This man is trying to RAPE me! Someone help! Help!”

“I’m not trying to rape you!” you protest, “I’m trying to save you!”

“I don’t need any help!” West screams back, “I’m fine! The welfare state must be expanded!”

Then West pulls out a small pocket knife he had in a pouch in his swimsuit. He flips open the blade. It’s a small blade, not enough to kill anyone, but plenty enough to hurt and draw blood.

As you try to grab West again, he yells, “Women don’t make as much money as men!” and stabs you in the chest. It’s a tiny wound, but your blood is now seeping out into the water.

Oh, now you’re PISSED. Pain racking your body, blood leaking into the water, you now hate West. But you still want to save him. Again you grab for him in the reddening, foaming water. Again he stabs you, this time making a small wound in your stomach. You’re furious. You’re in pain. You hate West, yet still your emotions compel you to save him.

You turn and shout over to the shore, to me. At the top of your lungs, you shout “Hey, BD! Help me save West!”

While this is all going on, I’m sitting on the beach, relaxing in a recliner, lazily drinking a non-alcoholic piña colada. Nuzzled next to me is a gorgeous blonde in a bikini with big fake boobs. On the other side of me is a beautiful Asian woman who is giving me a massage. I have a big smile on my face and loving life.

Then I hear you screaming from out into the ocean. I peer out to see you wrestling with West in the water, while West is repeatedly calling you names and stabbing you with a small knife.

“Hey, BD! Help me save West!” you yell.

“Why?” I yell back, “Clearly he doesn’t want to be saved. Can’t you see he’s fucking stabbing you?”

“That doesn’t matter!” you yell, “We have to save him anyway!”

“What the hell?” I answer, “Are you blind? Look at him. Look at what he’s doing to you. He’s stabbing you for even trying to save him. And you can’t save him anyway. That sea anchor is too much for you to swim back to shore with.”

“We could save him if you help me!!!” you scream.

“No, we can’t,” I answer. I then explain, with mathematical precision, how based on the precise weight of the anchor, even if you, I, and my two large-breasted girlfriends swam out to save West, it still wouldn’t be enough. West would still eventually drown. Not to mention the fact that West would be insulting, attacking, and wounding all of us during the entire useless process.

“Look,” I finish, “I love West too. I want him to live. He’s a great man. But just look at him! He hates us. He doesn’t care that he’s drowning. He chose to tie that anchor onto himself. He chose to hate you. No one did this to him. He did his to himself. And now, clearly he’s not the man he once was. I think you want to save the man he was, who is already long gone, rather than the man he has now become.”

With your rage and fury at all-time highs, you get red-faced and scream back at me, “Fuck you BD! You’re a selfish asshole! You don’t care about anyone but yourself! You’re a fucking nihilist! You owe it to West to save him! You’re going to burn in hell!”

Now you’re pissed off at West and me. And you’re wounded and bleeding. You’re full of rage, anger, and pain.

I’m still sitting on the beach, slowly shaking my head at what you’re doing. You could be here on the beach, enjoying yourself, and loving life too. But you’d rather be out in the ice-cold water, wet, bleeding, furious, trying to save someone who hates you, doesn’t want to be saved, is repeatedly stabbing you, and is going to drown regardless of what you do.

One last time, you implore, “C’mon BD! Help me save him! Yeah he’ll probably drown anyway be we have to TRY. He’s all we’ve got!”

“No he’s not,” I respond, as the blonde laying next to me starts to give me a blowjob, “There are lots of other friends we’ll have after this. There’s West’s brother, East. He’s almost as successful as West is and keeps making more money every year. Then there’s his distant cousin Third. Remember him? Third World? He’s a little smelly and crazy but he’s fun to hang with. And West has a lot of children who seem promising, plus some other relatives. When West finally drowns, which is not only inevitable but clearly is what he wants, we’ll go hang with one of them. He’s not the only friend we can have. Yes, it will be sad, and I hate to see all this as much as you do, and I will mourn his loss as much as you will. But I’d rather not spend my time being insulted and stabbed by a guy who hates me and is about to drown no matter what I do. Why don’t you accept that and be happy instead of being angry at everyone all the time while bleeding and wounded for no reason?”

“Fuck you BD!!!” you scream, and again you reach for West, whose mouth and chin are now below the waterline, water going up into his nose, suffocating him. You try to pull him up, but you just can’t. The sea anchor is too heavy. Deep down in your heart, you know that even if you had all of our help, West would still drown.

But you don’t care. You’re irrationally stubborn. With the memories of the man West used to be, a man long gone, you pull up on West with all your might. Its no where near enough. He keeps descending into the depths. Underwater, he stabs you again, this time right in your balls.

With both searing pain and boiling anger, again you scream.

This was painful to read. I agree with a lot of the sentiment, but carrying this just a bit further, isn’t it entirely possible that once West Civ drowns you won’t be able to sit on the beach enjoying your drink getting a BJ because either: The wolves at the gate have killed/maimed/assaulted/imprisioned/re educated you?

I want to get on board with disengaging completely, but isn’t your ability to sit poolside derived from West Civ (no matter how tattered) and more specifically, the ability of the US to provide a place where you can consult, blog, put money in a bank, buy food in a well-stocked store, walk down the street fairly certain you won’t be shot or blown up in unending sectarian violence, and go to bed without worry of being hacked to death in your sleep because you belong to the wrong tribe?

Seems like we need some folks out there trying to keep West afloat despite the fury with which he attacks. Perhaps these are the betas who will not disengage regardless?

Help me get around this stumbling block, because I would like to have an internally consistent, intellectually-honest framework to say “fuck it”. The best I can come up with is the analogy of some neckbearded manboob dutifully washing and recycling his tinfoil and driving his Prius while Paul Allen is landing his helicopter on the deck of his megayacht. In other words: “Thanks Chumps!”

Wow, BD. Is this how you really feel when trying to save these types of men from societal programming? I can truly say, “Fuck em” and have no qualms about it. Yes, it’s sad, but it just means more pussy in the bank for guys like us who truly want to be happy in life. You can can only save the ones who want to be saved, and we all truly appreciate and applaud your efforts, but you can’t change the world.

No. As I’ve explained before, if/when Western civilization collapses (if it does) or transforms into something else, it won’t cover the world with a Mad Max fight-over-cans-of-beans-in-the-desert scenario. It will be replaced with something else that looks more or less civilized. It just won’t be Western Civ any more…it will be something new. Perhaps better, but probably worse.

In addition, there’s always Asia. There are no wolves to kill you if you move to Singapore or Hong Kong.

Is this how you really feel when trying to save these types of men from societal programming?

No. The metaphor isn’t about individual men who need help. It’s about trying to save the world / society / civilization.

Helping individual men who want to be helped is a completely different story. I’ve helped hundreds (if not thousands) at least in some way and am happy to do it.

You can can only save the ones who want to be saved, and we all truly appreciate and applaud your efforts, but you can’t change the world.

    Agree 1000%.

    @Johnny

I have only recently become as cynical as BD in this regard. I think reality is much worse than the article.

In the real world, even as you try to save West, all the other people on the beach would be calling you names and looking down on you. YOU are the bad guy. YOU are insensitive. YOU don’t respect people’s “right to not be offended” even as they violate your right to free speech. AND MUCH MUCH more.

I have reached the point where I am just tired of arguing, tired of fighting. I rather just watch the western world burn as they take all their bullshit to the extreme. The west is such an intolerant place right now.

How ironic is it that China has more freedom of speech (or just as much as) the western world?

We can fault China’s limits to specific high level officials in the government. In a way, China itself isn’t limiting freedom, those individuals in power are.

In the west, it is the people themselves that are doing this.

Damn! You’re right! I forgot to include that!

How ironic is it that China has more freedom of speech (or just as much as) the western world?

As has been discussed in detail by others elsewhere, the modern-day, self-employed American man with even somewhat location-independent income moving to corrupt South America or to communist China will experience more personal, individual freedom in all aspects of his day-to-day life than he will staying in America (and certainly Europe).

It’s hard for people to wrap their heads around that one, and I understand why, but it’s still the truth.

America hasn’t been a “free” country for a long, long time.

I know you were asking BD, but I’d like to chip in with a recent example:

    http://kotaku.com/pillars-of-eternity-fan-text-changed-after-player-compl-1695608446

This is a game. Some backers who supported the creation of this project on kickstarter got to put a message in the game. It appears as markings on a grave in 1 section of the game. Not a huge deal.

Bigots wielding social media were able to force the company to change it.

    Look at the message itself:

“Here lies Firedorn, a hero in bed. He once was alive, but now he’s dead. The last woman he bedded, turned out a man. And crying in shame, off a cliff he ran.”

That is all. But this was looked at as an offensive statement against transgenders. It was a harmless joke about drunken men making bad decisions, in 1 part of a game, in a section that doesn’t matter.

This sort of jokes, I can tell you with certainty, could exist in a Chinese game.

Whatever happened to “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it” that used to be what the west represented?

Man I feel stupid. I thought ‘West’ was some Republican politician who had a re-awakening as a Democrat. Like Adam West or something. Guess that blew over my head initially.

Eh, the political correctness and “Professional Outrage Committee” are extremely annoying, and they tend to be raging liberals, but I still think you can be a rational liberal, or “socialist” as you call it.

I don’t really believe in socialism — merely the idea that the idea of a social safety net is not terrible. We’re talking bare bones survival net here. As more and more jobs become automated, and war machine technology stronger, the value of a human life is rapidly becoming zero. A human being — unless you appeal to morality, which is unreliable — has economic value, war value, and sexual value — throughout history.

Our war value is now pretty much near-zero. Man-power doesn’t win wars anymore (like the French Revolution) — weaponry like nukes and jets and subs do. Okay, no more war (physical force) value.

What about economic values? Currently the only thing giving most citizens any value in the eyes of some despotic tyrant. Cheap labor or high skills. Eventually, when robots replace most jobs, this will be near if not absolute zero for most individuals of less-than-legendary intelligence.

When that happens, you better hope there are social safety nets, or distributions of power not based on wealth — or you will be deemed disposable to the Ruling Class. Sexually exploited or used in a violent ‘Big Game’ hunt for sport.

This is an extreme example — but seriously. Consider what value you have to the Ruling Class or Ruling Authority — when you can produce no value in terms of economic output, your labor, or even physical force. What then? Beg for scraps? For charity? And what if those in power are not Jesus? They don’t have moral inclinations? (and current Republicans loathe food stamps).

Well, it won’t happen in this lifetime possibly — but the ideology is not sustainable long term, unless you REALLY believe you’re going to be one of the few ‘winners’.

For those of us “on the beach” or planning to be/do so, those drowning and those attempting to rescue have already been compromised. Sure, it “appears” cold & pragmatic, but like jiu jitsu, it’s chess at 60 mph. Always gotta be looking at 3 or 4 cars out ahead, not just the mini-van driver busy texting and too busy to get out of the fast lane.

Sure. I’ll do it over at the CJ Blog.

I want to have a children with a white, blond ,hot woman. And it seems to be that monogamy for a limited period of time is unavoidable if I want to achieve this.I have to play the game the west tells me to, at least for a limited time.

No you don’t, and it’s sad to see how brainwashed you’ve become.

    1. I’ve had multiple marriage offers from multiple women who wanted children from me and understood it would be an open marriage. More than 50% of these women were white and blonde.

    2. Personally know numerous men who are in long-term OPEN marriages with white women (some of them blonde) with kids. They’re quite happy.

You really, really need to do some more reading and research to clean out that poison you’ve got in your mind.

I don’t really believe in socialism — merely the idea that the idea of a social safety net is not terrible. We’re talking bare bones survival net here.

I am discussing that very topic of how to handle the poor without a welfare state right here.

Eventually, when robots replace most jobs, this will be near if not absolute zero for most individuals of less-than-legendary intelligence.

When that happens, you better hope there are social safety nets

Or you could follow my advice and design a life where you don’t need any social safety nets. My way is more conducive for happiness. Your way is conducive for dependence, thus unhappiness.

If you’re truly planning on being financially dependent on the government someday, I shudder.

Then there’s his distant cousin Third. Remember him? Third World? He’s a little smelly and crazy but he’s fun to hang with.

Laughed a lot at this! So true!

On the other hand reality is not that simple. IF you’re (almost) completely independent of the state, ok, maybe you will find your gold at the end of the Third World rainbow.

But if you mess with some of it’s goverment rules you’re screwed. And as a foreigner you’ll be taxed as hell in some places, even doing online consulting work, ’cause most of these places are ruled by big goverments and left-wing dogs who are viciously tax hungry!

Quick example: in Brazil we pay the insane sum of 40% on taxes! The snowball tax effect is crazy cause everything is taxed on it’s source, so there’s really no way to avoid it. Some more cool shit we have here: 1) vote is mandatory. 2) everytime you cash money at an ATM out of the country there’s a 6% goverment fee. This fee also applies to every financial transaction with interests involved or done abroad (credit cards and bank accounts included). 3) You have an insanely small amount of money you can carry on or save without having to declare them on your income tax return. 4)If you make more than US$18.000,00 a year you have to pay 27,50% of that to the goverment. And so on.

So caution is advised when going “south” trying to be free.

Not to be pedantic, but you say the West has fallen, but you describe it more as just changing. When most people hear a society has fallen, they think in terms of a society that was once large and powerful becoming less large and less powerful, or ceasing to exist altogether. What you describe seems more like normal change that the US and the West has been going through forever. America in 1900 would be unrecognizable to the founding fathers, and America in the 21st century would be unrecognizable to a soldier in the Civil War.

I guess my question is, how exactly do you define “fallen” or “collapsed”?

  • Caleb Jones

@POB – I wouldn’t really consider Brazil the third world. Most of South America, yes, but not Brazil, and probably not Argentina either.

    @Tony –

Not to be pedantic, but you say the West has fallen, but you describe it more as just changing.

I’m describing both. I’ll be more clear in a minute.

When most people hear a society has fallen, they think in terms of a society that was once large and powerful becoming less large and less powerful, or ceasing to exist altogether. What you describe seems more like normal change that the US and the West has been going through forever.

No, the United States or Europe are empirically less powerful as they once were.

The US is still the most powerful country in the world, but it’s no where near where it was in the 60s in terms of things like comparative military power, standard of living for its citizens in real dollars, wages in real dollars, respect around the world, etc.

If the Western world was changing yet maintaining all of its (comparative) wealth (in real dollars), power, and respect, then this would be a very different discussion. But that’s not what’s happening. It is not the “normal change that the US and the West has been going through forever.” Not at all.

America in 1900 would be unrecognizable to the founding fathers, and America in the 21st century would be unrecognizable to a soldier in the Civil War.

Would the founding fathers like the country we have become today? Or would they be horrified?

What would George Washington think of the War in Iraq? What would Jefferson think of Obamacare or some of world’s highest income taxes?

You are implying that cultural change is always good or neutral. It hasn’t been for the West. It’s been worse.

I guess my question is, how exactly do you define “fallen” or “collapsed”?

In terms of the present, like when I say things like “The West has already fallen”, I mean:

    1. The West has already embraced socialism (the western European kind), incurred all the negatives therein, and is not going to give it up.

    2. The West has already embraced monetarist fiscal polices (printing trillions of dollars forever), incurred all the negatives therein, and is not going to give it up.

    3. The West has already destroyed the “get married and stay together for the rest of your life” model of pair bonding / child rearing, and is never going to return to this model. Worse, it has not admitted it has done this, and keeps encouraging people to get married and expect lifetime marriage anyway, thus destroying people’s lives, mostly men and children, via unfair divorce and child custody battles.

    4. The West has embraced unfathomable levels of debt (both at the government and individual levels), will not stop borrowing money, and will pay a horrible price for this at some point in the future. (Exactly when I don’t know.)

    5. The West has already embraced tax levels the height of which would give Americans of just 100 years ago a heart attack, completely wastes at least 40% of this collected money, and will never reduce these taxes in any meaningful way.

That’s what I mean by “already collapsed.”

Now in terms of the future “collapse” that’s coming, I don’t have a crystal ball and I don’t know exactly what will happen or when, but I predict one or more of the following scenarios within our lifetimes:

    1. The US/Europe will go bankrupt. Government will truly collapse, and then be replaced by something sinister, either left-wing (more extreme socialism) or right-wing (something more fascist).

    or

    2. The US/Europe will slowly diminish and get smaller and smaller over time, one day ending up like Portugal. Portugal ruled the world 400 years ago. Look at it now, a small speck of a country surrounded by new giants.

    or

    3. The US/Europe will suffer massive civil unrest, and government responds by cracking down and passing more oppressive martial-law type laws, becoming a police state (which will eventually go bankrupt too).

    or

    4. States/provinces all over the US/Europe start seceding from the US or the EU, sometimes peacefully, sometimes not. The result is a big pile of little countries all going their own way like with the failed Soviet Union. The “West” will be gone, just like the old Soviet Union is gone.

Unless some radical new technology gets invented that revolutionizes the entire world and saves the West (which I agree is possible, but technology has nothing to do with social activism), one of those four scenarios will happen in our lifetimes. My hope is it will be number 4, though number 2 would be acceptable. Numbers 1 and 3 would be very ugly, and you really don’t want to be around if/when these happen.

@POB – I wouldn’t really consider Brazil the third world. Most of South America, yes, but not Brazil, and probably not Argentina either.

Big country with lots of disparities between regions. South is more like First World Europe, North is more like poor Third World Asia or Africa, altought I’m really generalizing here. Argentina looks really bad now, and they are considering to “dolarize” their economy again. Prices are high there.

Colombia and South East Asian seem cool to me, but I know little about the political climates and have a big distrust of traditional sources of information.

Again, big country with disparities. Never been there, but seems like a cool place to live. Just keep in mind they have some really bad drug related violence (on the countryside mostly, where the guerrilas do their dirty work).

If I had to relocate to South America now, I would definetely go to Chile or the southwest/southern region of Brazil.

BD, your scenarios look more and more like what I believe will happen. I really think someday, like hundreds of years from now, the world will be an unpleaseant place to live (way worse than today). Although we will probably have some small countries that will be shrines of freedom and well being. My guess is that they’ll probably look like Israel: militarized as hell and sorrounded by enemies.

Big country with lots of disparities between regions.

You’re right. China is the same. It’s hard to accurately categorize some of the bigger nations. Yet if I was forced to categorize the country as a whole, first or third, I would not call it “third world” (Brazil nor China). Would that categorization be 100% accurate? No.

BD, your scenarios look more and more like what I believe will happen. I really think someday, like hundreds of years from now, the world will be an unpleasant place to live (way worse than today). Although we will probably have some small countries that will be shrines of freedom and well being. My guess is that they’ll probably look like Israel: militarized as hell and surrounded by enemies.

Actually, I disagree with you. I have the exact opposite view of the far future.

In other words, I think the Western world over the next few decades is in for some really serious trouble. It’s not going to be a happy place.

But I also think that in hundreds of years, perhaps in just one hundred years, the Earth will be a paradise. No disease, no cancer, cheap and unlimited food and water for all, people living hundreds of years but looking and feeling like they’re 30, perfectly healthy cybernetic bodies, the only wars will be tiny, small-scale ones, etc. I think it will be really fantastic.

We just need to get through the next few decades first, which will be very problematic

@BD, I can’t say I agree with you about the future in the next few hundred years. I don’t know if the opposite will happen, but it is not in the elites’ best interest to let a cure for cancer get out; people living longer longer means paying SS and pensions for longer and longer; water, from what I heard is becoming scarce and there will likely be wars fought over it, much like we fight for oil now; which comes to the last point that few or minimal wars is not what history has taught us; there is also not much money to made from peace; and the military industrial complex provides an alternative to young men and their poor economic prospects. But I’m sure you have reason to believe what you say. Would be interesting if you linked some of these sources that reflect your theories.

it is not in the elites’ best interest to let a cure for cancer get out; people living longer longer means paying SS and pensions for longer and longer

It’s not in the elite’s best interest to have an internet or cryptocurrency, yet we have both, and both are growing. The elites’ power over society is very strong, but not absolute. And as I’ve said before, the higher the technology level grows, the more the individual will be closer in power to the state. (Imagine the IRS going after a farmer for back taxes and a $200 pocket nuclear device.)

water, from what I heard is becoming scarce and there will likely be wars fought over it, much like we fight for oil now

I’ve heard that too, and it’s wrong. Read this book; it will change your entire view on this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Abundance-Future-Better-Than-Think/dp/145161683X/ref=sr_1_1

The summary is that technology eventually solves all scarce resource problems. In the late 1800s they said the world would go “forever dark” because we were running out of whale oil. In the 1970s we were all screwed with the planet running out of oil…until someone invented the catalytic converter, which effectively double the world’s oil supply, instantly.

Technology always eventually solves resource problems. The problem is the word “eventually.” While “eventually” is going on, there is much strife, war, corruption, recession, starvation, and chaos.

Would be interesting if you linked some of these sources that reflect your theories.

Definitely the book above. For the physical health stuff, read any book by Ray Kurzweill.

The bottom line is people do not understand at all how different things will be in the far future which tech is very different than today.

A small example. If in 1995 someone told you that in 2015 you’d have a little computer in your pocket that you could verbally ask any question in the world and it would instantly answer you on any topic you can think of, being wirelessly liked to the whole of humanity’s knowledge, would you believe them? Or would you roll your eyes and say, “Yeah right, weirdo.”

Probably the latter, yet there’s your Android with voice response and Wikipeda right there in your pocket.

I will state yet again, the time from now until then is going to be very, very rough, a few more decades. But after that, things will be much better. Better take your vitamins and get enough exercise so you can live long enough to see it!

As you’ve pointed out, we are only speculating here. But I do agree we’re up for some harsh times on the next few decades, some of which could be happening right now!

Think about the escalating horror in terroristic acts and attacks in US, Europe and even Asia, the recent alien’s riots in Europe, the constant threat from Iran, Pakistan and North Korea developing a nuclear warhead, and so on. Israel and the US are already heavy militarized to defend themselves from it’s agressors, although the latter tend to be more agressive on the use of it’s force.

Russia, China, North Korea and other comunist or islamic nations also posses grat destructive power, even if on a smaller scale (and we really don’t know about Russia or the other guys, because we cannot trust what they show to the rest of the world).

To be more specific, I don’t think technology alone has that much influence in our lives to radically change (at least right away) the social/power structure of nations, even if it holds the solutions to basic and advanced human needs.

IMHO, it’s real power is to set individuals free, even if they are living on a place where freedom is severely attacked and damaged. And I think this is the key to make things better (for everyone) in the long run. The individual having a voice and being greater than powerfull wealthy people and goverments, this is how technology can better us all.

To understand how the world is today, I strongly recommend a look here:

And I’ll definitely take a look on the book you’ve described, looks like an interesting read.

    Correct!

I this will happen at some point. It could be a very long time though.

Great essay. One pitfall of becoming red-pill aware is that you can keep coming back to the indignation of engaging the left and the rush of affirmation/glory/new beginnings of being red pill. You can understand things more deeply and be more and more in the right. It’s something that has to be done, but then an addiction kicks in. Time gets wasted even if your arguments are correct and well articulated. I will always have time for a few new articles a month by you, Cappy, Rollo but my mindset needs to chill out on this stuff. It has become my emotional core and that is a mistake. It’s time to be the guy on the beach with the busty Asian girl. For the past year, I’ve been the guy flailing in the water, describing the scene correctly to be sure, but still wasting my time because of others’ stupidity. We don’t live for a thousand years. Even fighting the good fight is just minutes ticking by, isn’t it? This metaphor you created is really incredibly tight. I won’t forget it. Most of the drama of the left is kept alive by argument anyway so I’m done. Time to get on the beach with my drink and a racked up Asian. Sorry for the excessive introspective but this is really a metaphor to hang up my keyboard on. I’m done.

And there it is. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

    […] A love letter to conservatives. […]

I think your article should be titled the death of Western Conservatism. I don’t see that as bad. With the western world becoming more socially liberal, it is actually better for people who know how to take care of themselves. Conservatism comes with a lot of BS rules. With social liberalism, yes, there’s societal programming but so what? Who cares? It doesn’t affect you.

Social Liberalism allows you to have sex with anyone you want. Move your money away from the crazy governments and yet still able to spend money and go where ever you want. I say that you should actually welcome what is going on. Are you having less sex than before? Human nature will not change. Sure you might have to sort through more women to get to the ones who will have sex with you on your terms but that won’t change. Go back to the 1950’s like you said and all your many freedoms goes away. No internet, no foreign corporations unless you are actually a large corporations.

What I can do from my computer is insane. I can order 10,000 widgets manufactured from China, hire someone to go with me to accept the order once manufactured. Have it shipped to Amazon who then will distribute it to their warehouses around the world. They then ship to whomever from the closest warehouse and money just rolls in.

I can go anywhere, do anything, meet women from all over the world…Why would you want to change anything?!? This is the best time that Alpha 2.0 can be in. Who cares if the western governments prints more money? Make sure you hold your finances in other currencies or gold that is not inflationary. And you can change your currencies at any time at the click of a mouse. So you just have to move it around every few years, or a decade. That’s a little bit of work for a lot of freedom.

I’m of Chinese descent (Taiwan) and I love blondes with big tits. 50 years ago I would never get to have sex with a bunch of blondes or even white women or latina or whatever. Today, I can have sex with anybody and with the more socially liberal attitudes, the women don’t automatically rule me out as a sex partner. I get to live my dream life. Why would I want to save western conservatism? I’ll take the modern world as it is.

As far as resources. By 2030, there will be so much solar and wind power that oil will be down to $20 or less a barrel. China’s cafe standards by 2025 will be so high that Honda says they will not produce gasoline only cars by then. Which means that other car companies are also going that way. Modern medical technology is a fucking miracle. With the advances coming fast and furious.

As a Biochemist who has been watching this field for a long time (20 plus years). I can tell you that we are on the verge of adding 20-50 years to the human lifespan. Why is that a big deal? Two things. It’s not just older life. It’s younger for 20-50 more years. And if you catch the wave (I like to call it that), there’s an incredibly high probability that in those extra 30 years or so technology will be developed to extend your life indefinitely.

Most people are preparing for retirement at 65…LOL. If you have the money, it is quite likely that if you are 40 and you take care of yourself so you don’t die before artificial organ replacement technology is developed, you won’t die at all. But you will need money for the first generation anti-aging treatment. There’s already treatments that drastically slow down many biochemical pathways that cause aging.

So to reiterate. I love the modern world and the socially liberal society. I could care less if western conservatism dies. Oh yeah, one last thing. More liberal also means less wars. Which is also good for Alpha 2.0.

    Posted at 05:01 pm, 11th February 2017

Yesterday  night I ran into a streak of 3 TV comics. Each of them had, as we know, to spit out smaller or larger doses of anti-Trump poison. But as their career needs they be more dutiful than just that, they dressed it with anti-Western poison. There was a “There is a smell of closure, walls, segregationism… we need to be more open” line that did it.

I went agape. These cheap charlatans were attacking the heritage, culture, future and present of the whole audience, both in the theatre where the show was held. Among other things, they were telling us that we have backwards if we think we should have a home, a place of ours.
If we think we should have an identity.
They were demeaning and dismissing the people who still want to say “I have” (a home, firstly) and “I am” (a man within my culture and heritage, first).

Heck, there is a reason if the first verbs they teach in school are I am and I have!

The comics were whites, whites like you and like me; this was no attack from out open, or even in-disguise, outgrups.
The audience was made of whites, like you and me.

Now what did hurt was, nobody sitting in the theatre, and nobody in my family was annoyed. They didn’t even noticed anything.
When I pointed out the comics, for their personal interests, had just offended (and deceived) all of us, they said “hmm, yes. We see”.
Then they kept watching without a wee of animus toward the well-paid buffoons.

This is one of countless experiences of this kind.
It’s… I mean, it’s a natural instinct to want to fight for something.
Now that we don’t have to fight to safeguard our shelter in a cave, we tend to form identitary groups, compete with other groups, feel proud about our group’s achievements (historic and present) and so on.

But no. My ethnic group doesn’t want to even hear about that.
And it’s not as if I may change team.
I am in a team where nobody wants to play; nobody, actually, is even aware there is a game, the game of history and the struggle between civilizations and cultures, going on.

    You have your personal Mission.
But a personal Mission can’t be like a Mission 1 or 10 or 50 millions of people embark on. There is a dramatic difference of latitude.
I wanted the emotions and adventure of the larger one.
I can’t understand my will-less brethren; life is will, and our culture was will for excellence.

The argument at home ended up like the story you told in this post.
It would have been the same on whatever normal forum, or comments section on any normal blog.
Most of the alt-right blogs are quickly turning into pieces of a repulsive bullysphere: possibly or probably sick people writing about “gammas” “omegas” and how alpha they are instead (if I had to devise a way to recognize alphas, I’d hardly look for people who write about “gammas” all the time… eheh).

Then this great post of yours came to the mind, and it relieved me.
You surely found a proper way to draw the full picture.

A personal mission can’t be a grand one, but it is the only one available.
I’ll try to remember this post most often.

Sorry for the unbosoming session, but masochists and unaware masochists still drive me a little… off the rail. And feeling you don’t have a group you belong in is sickening.
