I know you will probably say no, but could one get just the Consulting: Getting Started From Scratch and not the main course? Because getting both of them is too expensive for me at the moment and this is the one that is more relevant for me right now.
Off topic, but do you allow people to donate to you? Say someone is really thankful for your advice, and just wants to give you free cash, out of the goodness of their heart. How would they go about doing that?
Why not just buy one of his products/services?
Sure, I mean besides buying his products. Sometimes you just want to donate to your favorite content creator (some people use Patreon, for example). In my case, I’ve already bought quite a few of BD’s products, and this particular course doesn’t really apply to me (though I may buy it just to support him). Anyways, just a random thought.
Long time reader, first time commenter. BD, Is the minimum time investment (besides client work) roughly 15 hrs/wk, like you mentioned for Alpha 2.0 businesses in general? Is a day job essentially mutually exclusive with a consulting business past the early stages?
I know many people who do this. They have a day job that is part time: 3-4 days a week, and they use the remaining time to do some business on the side. I also know people who have a full time 5 days a week job and do they’re business during the work hours because most of the time they are just warming a chair (ah, corporate working environment…).
Can you do the type of consulting you teach in a small town in a small country (Ireland)?
I considered & eventually passed on the 2.0 biz course… while I thought it was interesting, it wasn’t really down my alley.

No. It’s an addition onto the main course, not a separate course in and of itself and it wouldn’t make very much sense if you never went through the main course first.

If your income goals for your side-consulting aren’t very high, then no. If they’re high, then yes. I know guys who do both, and either can work.
Yes. This is a course on location-independent consulting, meaning you can serve clients anywhere in the world regardless of where you live. You can also be location-dependent if you want, or be a hybrid. I cover all of this in great detail in the course.
Her and I finally finished shooting all the video a few days ago. It was grueling but was fun to have her there.
I have an online consulting/service business that did well a few years ago but I let dwindle down when I took a regular job (yeah, I know) 2 years ago. I’m in a much better place physically and mentally these days but sort of struggling with closing that chapter (I have a couple clients on auto-bill who pay 5 figures left) or relaunching. This might just be right up my alley and the timing (regular job and reduced business will result in a rare large tax refund) couldn’t be better. I’m going to plan on this.

Hey BD, I gotta a friend who have great knowledge in the tech area. His is already making good money asa consultant. Do you think that I could use the course to partner with him, help him get clients and build a consulting business around that? I would use your teachings and sell his consulting services. Sure this would mean less money for me, but the boy is really good. I work in the post production and film festival areas, I feel that his niche is more profitable and maybe this partnership would be a good idea. Bottom line, should I purchase your course even if I plan to use another person as the expert? Thanks!
Yes, you could. I cover marketing in great detail if that will be your part. However I don’t cover the type of partnership you’re describing. (In keeping with Alpha 2.0 business standards, make damn sure you each have your own corporations that you each own 100%, and one guy just bills the other guy for whatever split you negotiate.)

When can we get more details about the course? Especially about how to decide on a niche, make sure it’s a good one, and find clients. I’ve gone through a lot of other consulting courses in the past, but kept missing some key details about that process and so I kept failing to get started with consulting. The lack of experience doesn’t help, so that’s a something I also want to know more as well.
