In getting ready for the next video course coming in March, The Location-Independent Six-Figure Consultant, many of you have asked for independent reviews of my last course on how to create an Alpha 2.0 Business that I released late last year.

Ask, and you shall receive. Below are several reviews from guys who purchased the last course. They are pure copy-and-paste reviews with no edits from me.

—–

I purchased the Alpha 2.0 Business Course back in October, and as of January I have a fully functional, monetized blog. Could I have done this without purchasing the course? Sure, but it would have taken me many months longer, and I would have made tons of costly mistakes along the way. The course took all the guesswork out of starting my business.

Reading Caleb’s material is nothing like watching it. He is a strong speaker and a confident presenter with a lot of energy and knowledge of the subjects he teaches. Just like his books, the course was broken into step by step, easy to understand instructions. Yes, some of the information could be found on the internet for free, but it would have taken a lot of time, and to have all of it in one place and presented in an easy to understand format was invaluable. Learning from Caleb’s video course and hearing his enthusiasm really gave me the confidence and boost I needed to get off my ass and make my business dream a reality. Totally worth it.

Having previously owned a dental staffing agency in Savannah, GA I wasn’t entirely new to business, however, the Alpha Male 2.0 Business Course assisted me in not only taking that business to levels unimagined, but also helped me move on to a business model more congruent with my goals.

The course is well rounded and ridiculously simple to follow, with relevant information that is categorized and easily consumable.

It covers a wide variety of subjects, to teach you how to start (no experience required) and maintain a business end to end, so that you can avoid creating a profitable business just to have it audited and shut down by the IRS because didn’t know that you had to pay taxes.

The section that helped me the most, as well as also being the most challenging, was finding my niche and then narrowing it down as much as humanly possible.

The included email coaching was both honest and informative with absolutely zero sugarcoating. BD would rather kill your bad ideas right off before they hatch, than allow you to create a bad business model that ultimately ends with you losing time, money…and hair.

BD is humble when it comes to business advice and doesn’t try to speak on topics he isn’t knowledgeable about, and will instead lead you in the right direction to discover the answers on your own.

The bonus content was a nice touch too and helped me get over the looming sense of overwhelm I had in starting another business.

I’ve seen close to one hundred courses out there, and have only ever purchased TWO in my life. This being the best out of them.

My advice to anyone out there who is on the fence, like I was initially, is to simply bite the bullet, make the investment (you get what you pay for), and give yourself a better fighting chance in this ever unsettlingly world; you deserve that much.

Greetings!

While I still have to get full value from the course, I have already benefited immensely from it and can recommend BD courses for people who want to change/improve their lives and want to take action, yet need good though-provoking pointers, working business plans and/or information on how it can be accomplished.

Baseline on course is: if you like how BD writes his blog, you’ll love how he presents information in person. Videos are clear, straight to the point and greatly done. Everything unimportant has been purged without mercy – BD takes care of time, his and yours, very professional. PDF files (received after 40 days) serve as good reminders, yet you’d better listen to Caleb in person first.

In conclusion, a few words on the additional audio course: immense value for its price! Best served with main ‘meal’, yet it gives many thoughts, ideas, and techniques by itself.

  1. Hey CJ,

I am strongly considering buying this course and also rejoining the SMIC, to get more coaching on the way to building this business. How does this work vis-a-vis the 25% Discount. Can i still get it if I am joining SMIC in March? How does that work?

Please feel free to contact me via this email adress, if you don’t want to discuss it in the comments.

  2. I was personally hoping for at least 5-10 reviews. How many in total purchased the last program, if you’re comfortable with answering?

  3. I’d like to provide a contrasting opinion.

For some context, I’m in my early 50’s and have been self employed since my early 20’s. I’m worth comfortably over $1M but my business depends entirely on me being in my office with clients in front of me, so what I need is advice on making a location independent income, which is why I bought the course.

Now here’s the thing: While the course content is exactly what Caleb said it would be, it’s very definitely a once-over-lightly that simply lists many strategies that are possible and paths that you can take…but fails to go into the key details on any of them.  It’s very basic, beginner level stuff that would be useful to someone with limited prior knowledge of running a business or dealing with the tax man.  I can entirely understand why a much younger guy than me might find it valuable and review it positively, because it would shortcut many years of (probably painful) learning.  I have no argument with that.

But while there were indeed many modules on things like how to structure a business and how to write a business plan, I found that there just wasn’t enough detail in the areas I needed to make the jump from the location dependent business I have now, to being location independent.  In addition, I found that the modules on topics that I have demonstrable skills in lacked teaching in many areas that I have found to be critical.

So all in all, once over lightly.  It was advertised as showing you “step by step exactly how to do it” and I think it fails in that regard, but it *is* a good introduction.  If the information in the next course is exhaustive it may well be worth the money, but this one certainly wasn’t.

I applied for a refund but was denied, because I was outside the 30 day period.

It’s the same way I handled it last time. If you want to sign up for SMIC just to get the discount, you may, but you must remain an SMIC member (Diamond or above, since Golds don’t get the discounts) for at least four months. (If you cancel the program before then, we have a problem, and you risk being banned from purchasing any future courses or ebooks from me.)

As usual, I’m happy to provide discounts to people as much as possible, but guys trying to game the system isn’t very fair, at least in my view.

I was personally hoping for at least 5-10 reviews. How many in total purchased the last program, if you’re comfortable with answering?

I’m comfortable answering anything, as always. I got about 20 positive reviews, but the vast majority of them were one or two sentences (Wow, great course, learned a lot, can’t wait for your next one, etc) which inquisitive guys like you wouldn’t find helpful. The three above are the ones that were more than 1-2 sentences. If more long-form reviews come in I will publish them as well.

I’d like to provide a contrasting opinion.

Thanks for your honest review. I’m sorry you were unsatisfied with the course.

Full disclosure for everyone reading, as I mentioned a few months ago, 10% of people who purchased the last course asked for a refund. I was expecting 15%, since that’s normal for higher-ticket online purchases like this, so 10% was a good number since it was under my projections.

That’s one of the key reasons I took the time to do a second course, because the refund percentages were so low. But I want to be transparent about the number of guys who did ask for a refund.

  5. I might be wrong but I couldn’t find a price. I am thinking about buying the course not for me (already running such a business) but for my 17 year old son. However I am always bothered by inline products that are not really up front with pricing. Maybe I am being dumb and missed it, it maybe you are keeping it under wraps to enhance your artificial scarcity sales tactic. But I’d sure like to know

So you think it is suitable for a highly motivated, extremely smart and very computer savvy 17 year old?

  6. I might be wrong but I couldn’t find a price.

$697 for the main course. I announced it in the first blog post I talked about it, but it’s not at the sales site yet.

So you think it is suitable for a highly motivated, extremely smart and very computer savvy 17 year old?

If he’s very motivated, definitely. If he’s the standard 17 year-old, no.

  7. I’m very interested. My main concern is regarding marketing yourself as a consultant and if it can be done anonymously to start. This should explain my situation better:

I currently have a well paying corporate sales job that my employer would be pretty pissed off if they found out I started my own consulting on the side. I’d most likely be fired instantly.

Are the marketing techniques in the course possible to use anonymously to start? Obviously once it’s off the ground I would quit my job and it could be publicly known. Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Are the marketing techniques in the course possible to use anonymously to start?

Yes, you would just use the offline marketing methods I talk about in the course, and I talk about many. These are usually more effective for new consultants than online marketing methods anyway.

  9. Is the Six figure consultant course different from the building alpha 2.0 business course or is it an improvement?

  10. Will the consulting course teach any of the actual work that we would provide as a consultant? Will it show us how to solve problems for the clients or is this course more of an overview of the consulting business?

  11. Is the Six figure consultant course different from the building alpha 2.0 business course or is it an improvement?

    Completely different.

Will the consulting course teach any of the actual work that we would provide as a consultant? Will it show us how to solve problems for the clients or is this course more of an overview of the consulting business?

Go here to the sales page and scroll down to the curriculum (you’ll need to expand it with the little arrow). It shows you every video you’ll get. The course shows you how to find what you’re good at, start your business, get clients, work with clients, and so on. There are literally thousands of types of consultants so I can’t show you exactly how to do inventory control work (if you’re an inventory control consultant) or HR work (if you’re an HR consultant), and so on, if that’s what you mean.

  12. Would this course be useful in starting a personal coaching business? Also, I’m about halfway done with writing a book and plan on starting a blog soon.  I ran a successful small brick and mortar business for 14 years so understand corporate structures and taxes but have not done consulting or coaching.  What would you recommend?

  13. Would this course be useful in starting a personal coaching business?

This is a course for consultants (or men who want to be consultants), not for coaches. That being said, at least 60% of the content in this course will apply to professional coaches.

I ran a successful small brick and mortar business for 14 years so understand corporate structures and taxes but have not done consulting or coaching.  What would you recommend?

There’s nothing wrong with coaching. I do it. But there’s much more money in consulting.

  14. I searched on line for real independent reviews, (not screened by Caleb). Can not find any, usually this would be a good topic for someone to talk about on their blog/YT-Channel etc.? Only balanced review is from the commentator Michael above that says it is good, but a bit superficial.

I am very interested in the new course, but it is very hard to tell what I get for the money. I have ran a one man business for more than ten years and never made anywhere near the money Caleb is talking about. It seems great, but is it too good to be true?

Caleb says anyone can do it, but is it really true? Or is it like “I got a gold medal in the olypmics, now let me show you how I trained, and then you can do it too”.

  15. is it like “I got a gold medal in the olypmics, now let me show you how I trained, and then you can do it too”.

Even if it’s like that (and it isn’t), I don’t see your argument. If I wanted to improve as an athlete I would certainly buy the course you just described, and I’m sure it would help me a lot. Actually, what you just described sounds fantastic.

  16. Even if it’s like that (and it isn’t), I don’t see your argument.– I’m sure it would help me a lot.

Well, the point of the argument is that it is a false logic. From the gold-medal-athlets perspective it is easy, “just to what I did, and you can make it too”. But even if I train like Usain Bolt, I will not run 100 m nowhere near his time.  You have been an entrepreneur and a business man all your life, so for you this seems easy. Just follow some simple steps, put in the work and you will be succesfull like me, kind of.

But, yes, I am sure it would help and improve. But how high? I have been stuck on a plateau for 10-15 years, making decent money, but not in the 75K+ range. Just never figured out how to get there.

  17. But, yes, I am sure it would help and improve.

    That’s my point.

    But how high?

That’s up to you. $75K per year is not very high and that’s all you need (though this course teaches $100K you can reduce that to $75K if you’d like).

I’m not Tony Robbins or Grant Cardone screaming that you need to make ungodly amounts of money. $75K per year pre-tax is all you need, and that’s doable by just about anyone, including you.
